About me
I'm an experienced, versatile and creative freelancer, expert in finding clear and engaging ways to communicate content and ideas in publishing, print and digital media.
I offer a friendly, flexible, fast and reliable service that can be tailored to every opportunity. Whether turning raw text into beautifully flowing, consistently styled copy, or converting edited copy into attractive, ready-to-print layouts, I bring creativity, initiative, and a keen attention to detail to every project, large or small.

I'm a designer who edits; I'm an editor who designs. I take deadlines and budgets very seriously, but I tackle everything else with a cheerful sense of humour.

Experience and training
I worked in publishing in-house for nearly ten years. When I decided to go freelance in 2000, I was Senior Design Editor at Collins Educational – a role specially created for me to combine my design and editorial expertise.

I studied Art and Industrial Design at Central Saint Martins in London,
and over the years I have completed a variety of training courses in typesetting, book design and colour reproduction, including at The City Lit and the Print Industry Research Association, as well as online.
I gained a distinction in copy-editing skills at the London School of Publishing, and attended several editorial training courses at Book House Training Centre.
Most recently, I studied for a degree in English and American Literature, initially at Birkbeck College in London, and then at the University of Kent, where I gained a first in 2012.
